Champagne Dreams and Caviar Wishes (LHR Terminals 1, 2, 3 & 4)

Aug 24, 2014

It doesn’t get any better than pairing a fine glass of Champagne and a spoonful of caviar. It’s one of the world’s best food and wine pairings. It’s even better when it takes the mind off a long stay in an airport. Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar offers the quintessential sign of luxury — right before you take off. The menu features all the seafood classics, too.

Bonus Tip: Don’t miss the signature Balik salmon — prepared by lightly smoking the fish several times while it is peppered with a marinade.

An Authentic Espresso House (Terminal 1)

Aug 24, 2014

Think the Brits only drink tea? Not with Italian roaster Caffe Nero headquartered in London (and with four Heathrow locations). These espresso experts use the finest coffee machines and perfectly roasted beans to produce an excellent cup. The menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus, the terminal 1 location offers a great spot to watch the action on the runway.

Pro tip: Caffe Nero has locations in Terminals 1, 2, 4 and 5. Terminal 1 location is the only post-security option; all other locations are in public areas.

Giraffe: A Tasty Themed Restaurant (Terminals 1 & 5)

Aug 24, 2014

The kitschy giraffes out front signify a restaurant that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Both Heathrow locations are a buzz of activity and showcase a diverse breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.

Focus on the British favourites such as the beer battered fish and chips for comfort-food bliss.

Pro Tip: The terminal 1 location accepts reservations if you can think enough in advance to book (excluding weekend brunch).

Aug 24, 2014

London is home to Ted Baker, the fashion forward clothing icon. So it shouldn’t surprise it has two store fronts at the airport. Go here. Look better than everyone else on your flight. Don’t apologize.
