The iconic British luxury brand Burberry has its own, duty free store in the Vancouver airport. This boutique offers the latest in fashion for men and women including fragrances and the classic Burberry check (an oh-so-cool paneled look).

The Burberry Store is located in Concourse D near Gate D53.

The iconic Virgin experience is on display at three locations filled with books, music and entertainment. It’s a perfect stop whether you’re looking for music, a bestselling book, DVDs, games and electronic accessories.

Virgin Books & Entertainment is located in the Domestic Terminal (level 3, pre security), Concourse C (Gate C32) and Concourse D (Gate D7).


A Beer and a Big Game (YVR Main Terminal)

Long layovers and waiting to pick up guests at Vancouver International Airport need not be a downer. Hit up Stanley’s Happy Landing Lounge for a glass of wine, craft beer, or a cocktail from the fully-stocked bar. Their food is traditional pub fare, and you can’t go wrong with a terrific burger. It has six big screens, making it the go-to spot for Vancouver Canucks games (and other sports).

Stanley’s Happy Landing Lounge is located in the Main Terminal on level 2.


Kids at Play (YVR Concourses A, C & D)

There are also several Children’s Play Areas located throughout the airport. These are great places to let the kids burn off some energy. Grab a coffee and watch. It will make the next leg sooo much easier.

Children’s Play Areas are located in Concourse A near Gate A13, Concourse C near Gate C46 and Concourse D near Gate 54.

Bringing the Ocean Home (YVR Domestic Terminal)

Stanley Park is home to one of the best aquariums in North America. It’s a must see attraction when in Vancouver with more than 70,000 animals on display. The Vancouver Aquarium Shop is a way to remember it or pick up a great gift for one of the kids. The store features a great collection of ocean-themed toys, clothing and books.

Monk McQueen’s Lives On (YVR Concourse C)

Monk McQueen’s was a Vancouver mainstay and local favorite, and though the original is no longer there, Monk’s lives on at Vancouver International Airport. The bar is one of  the airport’s best spots for people-watching while you wait for your flight, and the menu boasts a wide array of West Coast-inspired plates, including fresh fish tacos and hand-patted burgers. Local wine and craft beer – both native to the Pacific Northwest – also highlight the menu.

Monk’s Grill is located in Concourse C near Gate C45.
